BEST days of science: AI and advanced technologies in science, interdisciplinary professional-educational event (https://www.best-dnevi-znanosti.si/ ), was organized by students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the Faculty of computer science and information studies both University of Ljubljana, to promote interdisciplinarity and collaboration between life and computer sciences. The event brough together students, industry leaders and academia through several joint activities and conference.
Barbara Breznik presented a lecture entitled “Advanced Technologies in Research of Aggressive Cancers” and gave overview of interdisciplinary approach and technologies that are used to study biology of brain tumors to find novel possibilities to treat patients with aggressive brain cancer glioblastoma. She presented technologies of spatial biology that are developed in the scope of CutCancer project and discovery of novel biomarker to more efficiently predict the prognosis of patients.
Two Master students Ula Mikoš and Pia Mencin presented their research work performed at NIB studying anti-CD155 antibody in glioblastoma invasion and PD1/PD-L1 interactions in glioblastoma microenvironment, respectively.
