As the first year of the project implementation is coming to an end, the first Annual Project Meeting was held via Zoom on 10 November 2023 to review the work done so far and look ahead to the project’s future activities.

Hosted by the National Institute of Biology, the meeting began with an overview of the project, highlighting the achievements and goals of the first year. The focus then shifted to management and coordination.

Presentations followed, including insights into advanced carcinogenicity assessment from Swansea University and research into changes in the tumour microenvironment after treatments from Stockholm University.

The meeting continued with reports on research strategy upgrades and ethics considerations. There was also a strong focus on dissemination and communication activities.

The meeting concluded with an overall discussion and closing remarks, leaving participants with a shared vision for future cooperation.
