On December 10, 2024, representatives from the Income Leone, d. o. o. – one of the largest ice cream and chocolate manufacturing companies in Slovenia – visited the National Institute of Biology (NIB) to explore potential possibilities for collaboration. During the meeting, both parties presented their activities: NIB introduced its key research areas and ongoing projects, while Income Leone shared insights into their technological capabilities and areas of interest. Discussions focused on identifying common ground where joint initiatives or research partnerships could be pursued. After the presentations, the guests were given a guided tour of NIB’s laboratories, providing them with insight into the institute’s infrastructure and research environment. During the meeting, Dr. Bojana Žegura, coordinator of the CutCancer project, also provided an overview of the project’s research activities.
