New methodological approaches and opportunities for improved human health and progress in medicine for MSc students from the Faculty of Pharmacy.

As part of the CutCancer twinning project National Institute of Biology (NIB), more precisesly the Department of Genetic Toxicology and Cancer Biology, organised on 13 November 2025 a seminar for MSc students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Irena Mlinarič Raščan, in the scope of subject Cell and tissue cultures. The seminar was titled: Genetic toxicology and cancer biology: new methodological approaches and opportunities for improved human health and progress in medicine.
Dr. Bojana Žegura and Dr. Barbrara Breznik presented the work of the Department team and highlighted the research work of the CutCancer project to the Master students from the Faculty of Pharmacy. Following the presentations, the participants were given an extensive tour of NIB’s laboratories, where they had the opportunity to see in practice how the research work on cell and tissue cultures as well as cell and molecular procedures are carried out.
